Just Skylights was founded to meet the growing demand for customized skylight solutions in the National Capital Region and surrounding areas.
Kyle Dotto, the owner of Just Skylights, has over 15 years of experience in installing and replacing skylights and sun tunnels across the Greater Ottawa Area. He began his journey with Ottawa Home Exteriors (OHE), a family-run business he co-founded in 2008. OHE, incorporated in 2010, has earned a strong reputation for its commitment to quality, with a BBB profile since 2009.
The OHE team specializes in installing roofing shingles, eavestroughs, soffit & fascia, skylights, and sun tunnel products. They also provide roof repairs and replacements due to wind damage and insurance claim quotes for damaged roofs. OHE’s hands-on approach ensures high-quality results, including visiting each job site and addressing client concerns. OHE operates without subcontractors and adheres to the highest safety standards, with all necessary licenses and insurance.
As demand for specialized skylight services increased, OHE partnered with Velux, who recognized their expertise and complete understanding of skylights and building systems. In 2023, Velux brought the Skylight Specialist designation to the Canadian market and offered to move over from being a Certified Installer.
This partnership led to the creation the of Just Skylights; a division focused solely on providing tailored skylight solutions.
